At Triadex Services, we understand the growing concern about protecting our environment. We take pride in making sure our business makes the least impact possible on the world around us.
A Tree Planted with Every Order
According to a recent environmental impact study done at the University of South Florida, one tree can offset the impact of a single order in less than 5 years.
Thanks to a partnership with the National Forest Foundation and regardless of the type of plastic card requested from Triadex Services, we plant a tree for every single order in one of America’s National Forests.
Since beginning this partnership, Triadex Services has been responsible for the planting thousands of trees within the U.S.
Through your support, we are helping to reduce our carbon footprint and ensure a bountiful world for future generations.
Environmentally Friendly Product Options
When you place an order for one of our direct mail services, you have the option of choosing the environmentally-friendly Teslin substrate card courtesy of PPG Industries, Inc.
Using our environmentally-friendly option, your card mailer can be made with a Teslin substrate from PPG Industries, Inc. Production is in compliance with corporate guidelines to minimize waste and qualify for environmental compliance. Each postcard qualifies as:
- Ozone Friendly
- Safe for Disposal
The environmentally-sensitive Teslin substrate is a durable and recyclable plastic with a number of very important eco-friendly characteristics including:
Strong and Long-Lasting
Teslin substrate’s strength and durability help to conserve our earth’s resources with minimal environmental impact.
Teslin substrate does not contribute to forest harvesting since it doesn’t contain any wood or cellulose-based materials.
Teslin substrate does not include any ozone-depleting substances.
Park benches, industrial signs, and plastic lumber are just some of the items that recycled Teslin substrate is being used to make. In general, it can be recycled into general use bulk plastics and is classified as a classification 7 (other resins or multi-resin polymers) using the voluntary container-coding system.
Safe for Disposal
If disposed of instead of recycled, Teslin substrate will not leach into groundwater from a landfill. It is also safe for incineration in conditions of excess oxygen since it will only release water, CO2, energy, and clean ash (from silica filler which is derived from sand) when burned.
Teslin substrate is non-toxic.
PPG Industries, Inc. certifies that there are no heavy metals used in the production of Teslin substrate including lead, mercury, cadmium, or hexavalent chromium. They also certify that there are no measurable amounts of arsenic or antimony. It is fully compliant with the 1994 standards of CONEG, Coalition of Northeastern Governors’ Model Toxic Legislation, and the current Consumer Safety Specification on Toy Safety, ASTM F963-86 standard.
